Let’s Talk About Journals

Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been fond of keeping a diary to record my daily life. I may have stopped for a year or two but I have always kept a notebook wherein I write some memories every now and then.

There is something special (and therapeutic even) with keeping a journal or diary. Up to now, I still have my old diaries and I feel nostalgic whenever I flip through them. I have already forgotten some memories and it makes me laugh or smile when I read them.

To this day, I have several journals and notebooks that I use for different purposes. So today, I’ll be sharing more about some of the journals that I keep.

Bullet Journal

I have a bad tendency to procrastinate sometimes. That’s why keeping a bullet journal is essential for me. It helps me become more productive and it helps me stay on track of all the things that need to be done. Currently, I’m using a Muji-inspired grid notebook. πŸ™‚

Poetry Journal

YES. I write poetry. (technically, typing them on my phone’s Google Note before actually writing them on paper). I am using a vintage-style (and I think it’s also made from recycled materials) journal. I like to keep my poems in a journal so that I can flip through it like a book. Someday, I want to publish my own poetry book. It feels scary to let my words out into the world because some of those words contain my emotions but having a published book would be a really BIG achievement for me.

Bible Journal

Okay, I am not that religious. I wouldn’t talk much about religion because people have different perspective regarding this. I got this idea from another blogger. I’m using a leather journal for this. Basically, there’s just a new Bible verse everyday and I write it down and try to reflect on it. I also write down my reflection. This is a daily activity and I like doing it right after I wake up.

Self-discover/ Self-improvement Journal

I am using a spiral (blank) notebook as a journal. The thing about this is that I search for journal prompts. (the monthly journal prompts) and I try to write about the topic or question everyday. It is really helpful for me because I get to know myself better by digging deeper into my thoughts, emotions, etc. But this year, I’m just going to do a weekly writing with a 52 weeks journal prompts.

So that’s it! Those are just four of the journals that I use and keep. πŸ™‚

Do you have the same journals as the ones I’ve posted? Or do you have other journals that you use? Don’t hesitate to leave a comment below!
